Welcome To The Escape Youth Club

Youth clubs come in all shapes and sizes and there is no set formula for ours. We believe the children should be involved in the planning, researching, decision making, fundraising and running of their club; empowering young people and giving them responsibility creates a sense of ownership and commitment.

We are open every Friday evening at The Park Centre during term time 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm

Entry is just £1.00 per session
Open to anyone in school years 7 – 11

Our evenings offer a wide range of activities such as sports, cooking, crafts, games, yoga, pool and so much more.

Message from the Chairman Karen Taylor

In 2018 at young lad of 15 who was in my daughter’s year unfortunately took his own life.  For someone so young to feel like there was no other way was enough for me to do something about it.  A few of us parents decided instead of just talking about it we had to do something to help and support the youth of our community.

It was a lot of hard work, meetings etc. but with the help of my team we managed to open The Escape Youth Club on 10th January 2020.  We wanted our club to be different to any other, not only to provide a safe place to hang out with friends, take part in activities but to also help with their wellbeing.

I am very proud of what we have achieved in such a short time including the number of members we have in addition to becoming a registered charity.  We have only just begun on our great journey and look forward to doing great things with the youth of our community and giving them the support that they deserve.

Our Vision

We want to make sure every young person has the opportunity to be what they want to be. Our club aims to open their eyes and where we can, offer them a taste of what they want to do when they leave education.

The club is a place where you can just hang out with your friends, or you can get involved in specific activities designed to broaden the knowledge of young people and a life outside the school environment.

We talk to our club community on a regular basis asking them what their interests are and if we can source a trial or an experienced professional to come and talk to them, inspire them, we do!
